As part of their lead up to IPO, we were tasked to illustrated their technology in a realistic and inspiring fashion. We emphasized the internal micro process happening in each cell: converting low-cost plant based sugars into high-value oils and energy sources.
Solazyme’s proprietary ability to tailor oils to specific needs is seen in the illustration of various chain lengths of molecules and their related use cases.
Key to the production was the organic feel of the final frames. We wanted the viewer to feel both the natural and paradigm shifting character of the technology.
